Say it, confirm it
Speak naturally: "drank two ounces of formula", "had a wet diaper and a dirty diaper", "napped for forty five minutes". Chuwe shows what it understood, field by field, and nothing is saved until you tap Save. If something is missing, you fill it in right there.
Private: on your device only
Speech is recognised on your phone, never on a server. The audio is not recorded, and the transcript is discarded the moment you save or cancel. Logging by hand keeps working exactly as before.
What you can say
Feeds, diapers, sleep, breastfeeding, pumping, solids and milestones. Starting or ending a nap or a breastfeeding session by voice moves the same timer as the button, including the iPhone Lock Screen and the Android notification.

With several babies
Say the baby's name. Without one, Chuwe asks whose it is rather than guessing. A bottle or a diaper can be logged for two babies in one sentence, such as "Mateo and Lucas drank two ounces"; everything else, one baby at a time.

Voice logging comes with Chuwe Premium, a one-time purchase, and with Family Cloud Sync. It appears only on phones that can recognise speech offline in the app's language; some phones need to download the language pack first.
When it does not understand
If Chuwe misses something, it says what is missing, such as the amount, and you either type it in on the same screen or try again by voice without closing it or being asked for permission again.
Saved the wrong thing? A record saved by voice can be undone for a few seconds, exactly like one saved by hand.
Amounts, in your own words
Say the amount in ounces or millilitres, in words or in digits, with fractions such as "half" or "and a half". Formula or breast milk is optional. If you do not say a unit, Chuwe uses the one in your settings, and the preview shows it before you save.
Frequently asked questions
Is audio recorded?
No. Speech is recognised on your phone, nothing is recorded or sent anywhere, and the transcript is discarded when you save or cancel.
Which phones support it?
iPhones and Android phones that can recognise speech offline in the language you use Chuwe in. If yours cannot, the option simply does not appear; some phones only need the offline language pack downloaded.
Does it work in Spanish?
Yes. Voice logging works in English and in Spanish.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. Recognition runs offline, on your phone. Some phones download the language pack once, over Wi-Fi.
Can I undo something saved by voice?
Yes. Like any record, it can be undone for a few seconds after you save it.
