A breastfeeding timer that remembers which side

Start the timer on one side, switch when your baby does, and Chuwe saves the total and each side. Next time, it tells you where you left off.

The Today screen in Chuwe: a nap timer running, with buttons to end the nap, pause or discard it, and below it the last feeding, the last sleep, the last diaper change and the estimated next feeding.
This is what today looks like in Chuwe.

Left and right timers

Each session starts by asking which side you are starting on, and reminds you which side the last session ended on. The timer runs for that side until you switch, pause or stop.

When you stop, Chuwe saves the total duration and the time on each side, so the history shows not just that you nursed, but how.

Pause, resume, switch

Burping, a diaper change, a baby who falls asleep and wakes again: pause the timer and resume it when you are ready. Switching sides is one tap and moves the timer to the other side without starting a new session.

The timer survives closing the app

Close Chuwe, lock the phone or answer a message: the timer keeps counting. On iPhone it appears on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island; on Android, in a notification. You can come back to it from there.

Pumping log

If you express milk, log how long each session lasted and how much you pumped, so you know what is stored and when the last session was. A reminder can nudge you before the next one.

Breastfeeding and bottles together

Combination feeding needs no special mode. Keep breastfeeding and bottles active at the same time, and each bottle is saved with its milk type, formula or breast milk.

Every session, both sides, in the history

Each session shows when it started, how long it lasted and how the time split between left and right. The Today screen keeps the last feed and the next one in view, and the calendar shows the month at a glance.

Premium adds a monthly summary and the split between bottle and breast for families who combine both. These figures only describe what you recorded; questions about how breastfeeding is going are for your pediatrician or a lactation consultant.

Made for nursing with one free hand

Big buttons, a timer that starts in one tap and controls on the Lock Screen or in a notification mean you rarely need to open the app mid-feed. With twins, each baby has their own breastfeeding timer.

Reminders for feeds and pumping

Set a reminder before the next feed or the next pumping session and your phone nudges you at the right time, counted from the last one you logged. Reminders are local notifications from your own device, and they work without an account or a connection.

Frequently asked questions

Does the timer keep running if I close the app?

Yes. It keeps counting with the app closed and the phone locked, and shows on the iPhone Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, or in an Android notification.

Can I track pumping too?

Yes. Each pumping session is saved with its duration and the amount, in ml or oz.

Which side did I end on?

Chuwe tells you when you start the next session: it shows which side the last one ended on.

Can I start the timer by voice?

With Premium, on compatible phones, yes. Starting or finishing a breastfeeding session by voice moves the same timer as the button.

Is the breastfeeding timer free?

Yes. The breastfeeding and pumping timers, the history and the reminders are part of free Chuwe.

Can I time breastfeeding for twins?

Yes. Each baby has their own timers, so you can log a session for each, even at the same time.
